About

Be Afraid.

Horror fictions have undoubtedly become a fixture of entertainment in the western world.  From the first Gothic novel by Horace Walpole, to the graphic blood-fest that is Peter Jackson's Dead Alive, from the hysterical reactions to The Exorcist, to the rise of so-called "torture porn" in post-9/11 America, audiences will never seem to tire of a good scare.  This blog is dedicated to the analytical and critical perspectives of the horror genre, focusing on everything from monsters, slashers, the Gothic, suspense, body horror, and more.  Along with critical analyses of horror, the blog will offer reviews, news, and other articles pertaining to the genre.
